Our client, a Global Data Centre Service Provider have retained us to assist with the growth of their Data Centre Engineering team. The company is experiencing huge growth and exciting opportunities are being created along the way.

Duties and Responsibilities:

You will be based at our clients Reading office with occasional travel to other UK sites as and when required. This role comprises of daytime shifts which cover the hours between 8:00am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday. The working week is 37.5 hours.

Duties include:

• Data Centre Installation Moves and Changes.
• Racking & Stacking, installation and monitoring of new Data Centre environment and systems
• Engaging with Projects Team
• Working closely with other service teams to ensure delivery of services
• Change management, ensure this is implemented and followed correctly

Knowledge and Skills:

• Experience working within Data Centres
• Installing equipment in data racks
• Copper and fibre cabling
• Certified Data Centre Technician (CDCT) is desirable
• Basic Cisco Routing & Switching experience.
• An understanding of how power and cooling operates within Data Centres
